Employee Concerns Program

The Employee Concerns Program (ECP) is a multi-faceted program available to all Zachry Nuclear Inc. (ZNI) personnel (employed either directly or indirectly by ZNI).  The ECP provides ZNI personnel professional and confidential assistance to deal with concerns related to their personal lives or to report concerns related to the environment, health, occupational safety, ethics, a hostile work environment or those that are nuclear safety related.  The ECP is also charged with addressing claims of Harassment, Intimidation, Retaliation or Discrimination (HIRD) related to employment and the reporting of Nuclear Safety Related Concerns.

 

What is an Employee Concern?

An Employee Concern is any concern of a personal or professional nature, which causes a ZNI individual worry, anxiety, fear, alarm, distress. Concerns may be personal, workplace related, or nuclear safety related. 

 

You may use any of these options to voice your concern:

  • Contact your first-line supervisor
  • Contact another member of management
  • Use the Employee Concerns Program (ECP)
  1. Complete an Employee Concern Reporting form and provide the form to your supervisor, manager or ECP Representative
  2. Submit yout completed Employee Concern Reporting form online.
  3. Deposit your written concern in the ECP Drop-Box.

Zachry Nuclear requires an atmosphere of open communication. All personnel have the right and responsibility to raise any possible safety or work related concern they might have without fear of retaliation.

 

Confidentiality is an important element of the Employee Concerns Program.

Quality Assurance Program

Zachry Nuclear's services and products meet the highest quality standards. Our Nuclear Quality Assurance Program complies with the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations (10CFR50, Appendix B and 10CFR Part 21) and American National Standards Institute (N45.2). Our proprietary software products are developed, validated, and controlled under our Software Quality Assurance Program, which in addition to meeting the above requirements; also meet the requirements of ASME NQA-1.

Project Management Support

Zachry applies the Project Management practices and philosophy of the Project Management Institute (PMI) to all projects performed. Although Project Management is not always identified as a specific scope item, our clients expect Zachry to manage the project costs, schedule and scope as an integral part of the overall project while maintaining the quality of the product. Managing the project ensures that consistent results are reached in completing various milestones and deliverables.

Design Change Packages

Since 1974, Zachry has been providing engineering, design, and project management services to the nuclear power industry. We offer to the industry a staff of experienced mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and civil/structural engineering professionals and designers skilled in power plant systems and engineering analysis.

Specific engineering activities for nuclear clients have been associated with Zachry developing hundreds of Design Change Packages (DCPs). Typical tasks performed by Zachry consist of installation and ripout drawing development; development of equipment requirements and specifications as well as complete bills of material; vendor interface; preparation of design analyses and calculations; preparation of safety evaluations, system tests, and functional evaluations; and update of plant documentation such as the FSAR and design basis documents, operating procedures, and plant databases. Our extensive knowledge of digital upgrade requirements, including software QA requirements, has supported hundreds of upgrades.

This design change activity has also included development of preliminary design alternatives and total installed cost estimates, on-site support during installation, post modification test support, and project closeout.

   

Security Systems

Security System Engineering and Design Capabilities

Zachry's engineering staff has extensive experience, capabilities and knowledge in the design and operation of nuclear power plant security systems, including associated regulatory requirements. Zachry teams with or subcontracts security systems specialists, as required, to meet the individual needs of our customers.
